Tire help....
I have read a few articles and SEARCHED! But want some opinions. I have 17" ce28ns 7.5 +53 Front and 9 +60 rear. Im looking for some new tires my azenis are toast and i wasnt that impressed with them. I have been looking at the follow
Potenza re070
Potenza re-01R
Advan AD07
also im wondering about tires...usually the more rubber the better so i have a question. My fenders have been rolled and ground down so i wont rub with a bigger tire on my car i dont think....due to my offsets being high....can i run i bigger tire in the rear and front? or is there any benefit in it? or should i stay with the 225-45-17 and 255-40-17? Im interested in all suggestions even if it isnt the tires i have listed.....

you might be able to get away with a 235/40 up front but Id stick with the 225's just cause I like the stagger better. as for a tire choice, either of your options won't disappoint. I would go with the RE070 just cause it's OEM CR (right?)

Have you considered the Hankook RS2 (z212)? I run those on my OEM AP1's, and have not been dissapointed... on the street or track.
I have also tried the Michelin Pilot Sport Cup's. These tires are the sickness! Be prepared to sell a nut for a set tho! HA
Haven't tried the RE070's, but on my roomates STI, it gripped like a F1 car.
just my .02-

o, just thinking... the Kumho MX is rated among the likes of the RT 615's and Hankook RS2's. They are priced to SELL!
the RS2, RT615 and the MX all have the same treadwear rating of 200utql. Those are all budget tires, but if you have the money... roll on some new CUPS!

I have driven all of the tires you mention but the new RE070. They are all good but I would rate the RE01R the best that I have tested. They are priced a lot better than the other two tires as well. Bridgestone has told me that the RE070 is even a better handling tire than the RE01R.
If I can help let me know.
