If times matter to you at all in those autoXes, you should be looking at Dunlop ZII, Yokohama AD08R, Bridgestone RE-11A.

^This. Neither of the tires you posted will be competitive. Daily driving is fine on them but they aren't performance tires at all.

Then I would say whichever one you think looks more aesthetically pleasing or affordable.

I am usually hesitant to go with something with little to no reviews. Why not step up to a max performance tire like the Evo V12, Federal 595ss or similar? Should be a little grippier while still being usuable for daily driving. I have used both the Hankook V12 and the Federal 595ss and they both held up well.

They are both junk if your looking for grip, performance, and if plan to autocross.

You should be looking into an extreme performance summer tire such as zII's, Azenis 615k, rs3, re11a, rivals, nt05

At the very least you should get a max performance tire such as the v12 Evo or htrIII.

For any amount of autocrossing or spirited driving, even if it is just on occasion, I would at the very minimum go with a max performance tire. "Ultra high performance" isn't really all that "ultra" high, and will not provide enough grip for anyone looking to maximize the performance out of their car.

ok guys ill look at some options, multiple people from tire rack even told me for performance and grip the BFG was a better tire the the V12 evo for an affordable summer tire when they had tested them. they said the v12 lacked grip and feedback compared to the new BFG comp2.

Too many people stick to "performance categories" dogmatically. They assume that any tire of a higher category must be better than any tire of a lower category. Nevermind that the categorization of these tires is pretty arbitrary.

Bottom line is that a top shelf UHP tire is going to be better than a shitty "max" performance tire. The V12 is a pretty mediocre tire for people on a low budget. No, it's not terrible, but then again it's not any significant step up from the Sport Comp 2 either. The professionals that drove them both back to back said the Comp2 was better. For me, that's far better than performance category dogma.
