For those of you with Yokohama AVS ES100, what do you think of them?

I just stripped off the remains of a set of AVS's.

I did'nt enjoy these tires at all. Very poor wet handling, and more flex than I tend to tolerate from sidewalls at the oem proportions.

I'm back to S0-3's and after only ~40 miles I'm very glad Im back home.

Hmmm. Looks like I'm going to have to think about this a little more.

Suit yourself, but the tires and behavior BlueS2000Boy and Tommy Amrani describe ARE NOTHING like I've experienced

dude- the tires suck man, just don't do it. you drive an s2000, not a focus, our car is equipped with s02's for a reason... i understand the money that could be saved, but didn't you buy your car to enjoy it?
i don't guy by stats tirerack lists for the two tires, i'm telling you from CURRENT personal experience, they really blow!
stupid tires chirp when i downshift to 3rd (@ about 75mph)... they're lame! (and i have NO engine work)

Tommy, I don't doubt that you are experiencing these issues and I don't understand why these tires are performing so terribly for you. I read all of the input on ES 100's available on this sight and by far your experince is the worst.

I knew that I would give up some performance when I purchased them but I was looking for a good daily driver wet weather tire. My tires are still new but the grip handling is very god and I have not been able to get the tires to break or even chirp under any conditions. This may change as they age, but I have been really pleased so far.

My questions to the forum are:
Why are the Tommy's and my experiences so different than mine with the same brand of tire?
Is anyone else experiencing what Tommy is experiencing?
