For those of you running non-stagger 17x9 all around?

I don't want to look a hellaflush/stancenation/VW stretcher dweeb...

why do most people run non staggered well how do I put this
Any rotating benefit is totally lost on the fact you have to run horrendous camber to get them to fit which gives up grip, ride quality and increases wear + added weight and drag.

Seems like most people posting up like TTMartin and others are autoxers whom I think know their shit. So, I am thankful for you guys posting up. Another advantage with non-staggered is re-sale. Its easier to sell that setup vs staggered IMHO. Just my standpoint from a dollars and cents wise.
I sold my other set of wheels so I can buy a set this week - I am stuck between PF01R and TRC3...Only thing is TRC3's weight - but PF01R is also 500 bux. Seems like I could put that $500 towards IHE easily and make up for the added weight?
Anyone with TRC3 - Can you jump in and say if you find any difference with added weight of wheels and tires compared to stock.
ZDan - Thanks for the reply. I think doing 235 in front and 255 in rear with TRC3 is my ideal setup. You guys rock.
PS - S4Play - thanks for letting me jack your thread some. Did you get a GT-R?

I run 17X9 +63 TR Motorsports C3 and stock ride height.
I went with 245R40/17 tires, since some people with stock suspensions do have rubbing with 255 tires. To be certain you don't have any rubbing with 255 tires you need to roll the fender lip and bend the tabs at the back of the fender liner. Even for Autocross there is some question about the benefit of 255R40 tires over 245R40 tires.
Go with your origional plan and get 245R40/17 tires.
edit: If you don't have a stiffer front sway bar, on my '06 simply disconnecting the rear sway bar was enough to balance the car with the 245 square set-up.

I run 17x9 all four w/ 255-40-17 RS3.I dont autoX or track my car.I just like the grip on the street and the convenience of rotating tires,I also like how the car looks with all that meat on it

Is the increased weight of the TRM wheels noticable? These are quite a bit cheaper than the PF01R and makes them more tempting. I just feel like I am adding more rotational mass to the car compared to the PF01R.
You disconnected your rear to help reduce oversteer, correct? I guess a stiffer bar up front would do the same thing? Trying to understand the science here. Hmm, sounds like I should do 245's from what you are saying...I really don't want to roll the fenders etc. I would like to revert to stock form easily if I wanted to.

Yes lighter unsprung weight is better. But, a lighter wallet is not better.
If you use the car for more than autocross, go for which ever tires are in your budget that you like the look of best.
Yes disconnecting rear bar is to reduce oversteer, and yes a stiffer front bar and keeping the rear bar would do the same thing.
edit: sorry for the delayed reply.

But, Vyndictive Autocrosses 255 RS3s and I believe he told me he still had lost some fender clips.
