Default Those who were wondering about fitment..PICS!

I originally purchased (4) 17x7 and ran them for awhile. Offset is +42 on all four. Then I recently purchased (2) 17x8 with a offset of +48, for the rear. I realized that 17x7 all around was not a good idea. So now I am running 17x7 +42 205x50 in the front and 17x8 +48 225x45 in the rear. As you see in the pics the tires nor the rims stick out. I have Tein S springs which give me a 1 inch drop. I just wanted to share this because many have asked about these rims and fitment. I know some members dont agree with putting these rims on a s2000 but most of us dont have 3k to shell out for a high-end wheel. These are Nippon F2's. I believe these rims are the same as Rota Slipstreams. At least they look the same to me. Cost was 1k not includind the second 2 rims I purchased which was my fault. Wrong rim size.

Paying 1k to downgrade the handling of the s2k... no thanks. Should be at least 245's in the rear and 215s up front to keep the stock tire sizes.

The above setup will not affect the handling at all.

You are mainly basing you comment because of rim choice....thats it.

Please base your comments on facts please.

You comment has no merit, but your opinion is always welcome as I said in the above statement. "Not all members will agree with my wheel choice".

The wider rims will only help the handling.

if your front was a higher offset like 45mm, would you have been able to run 215/45/17 in front and 225/45/17 in rear. Or do you have to stay with 205's in front and 225 in back.

These are the sizes they sold me when I had my original 17x7 all around. Keep in mind they sold me 225 for a 7 inch wide rim which is what I had in the beginning.

When I went to 8 inch in the back I didnt get new tires as a 245 is too wide for a 7 inch rim.

Now that I got 8 inch in the back with a 225, it fits but of course when the tire wears down I will go with 245 in the rear. My new setup will be as follows.

245x45 in the rear
215x50 in the front

I am not basing my comments on your wheels.. I could care less if they were rotas or ADRs. How is putting smaller tire widths than stock will help you any with handling?

You basically agreed with me by saying your changing your setup to 245 rears and 215s in front.
