Yes, it was called Painting oem Ap1 Rims
Here was my post:
"I have painted several sets of wheels before. I had the best luck with flat black. It goes on perfectly even. which makes it easy to touch up also.
I cleaned the wheels with brake cleaner. (very important step) Then used a flat black primer and then a flat black paint. I taped off the little lip and left it silver. It took 2 cans of primer and 2 cans of paint. It cost me about 10$ total at the local hardware store."

I'd recommend aircraft paint stripper (can be bought at Autozone or pepboys), to take off the clearcoat first so the paint has good adhesion. I painted a set of LS mesh wheels bronze and the paint held up till I sold them three years later. Then I ended up inheriting the wheels back from my buddy and the paint was still in great shape two years after that.
