TE37 SL +40 or CE28N +50/63
Hi, i have a couple questions about Rays Volks racing Rims F: TE37 SL 17x7.5 +40 215/45 R: TE37 SL 17x8.5 +40 245/40, if these are not a great fit, I have another set of rims i'd like to purchase, CE28N Bronze F: 17x7.5 +50 215/45 R: 17x9 +63 245/40. If anything give me some tips on how i can keep it stock without rolling the fenders or adding wheel spacers. If i have to go with the same rims with different Offsets thats fine too, I'd prefer if the rims stick be flush to the fender sides but if not a little of it sticking out is fine.

The latter option is going to be your ticket for not needing to roll fenders, however they wont be sitting flush, they will be half way between stock and flush, which is the best your going to get without rolling fenders. You can run a CR stagger (215/255) with those wheel widths and offset.

Id run 215/45 and 255/40. You could do a 245/40 in the rear but I like the added traction in the rear on an ap1 and you can fit them so might as well. Will look a little more flush too if that's important.

My favorite tire setup on that size ce28n is 225/45/17 and 255/40/17. I have the same wheels in mercury silver. The offsets on these are conservative, which means you won't have to roll your fenders, but you'll appreciate the slightly wider tire for filling it out. In my experience, it will not rub with a stock suspension height. Lowered, you may touch the inner fender liner under extreme compression and turning (think: turn 4 at Homestead), but not in normal circumstances.
I still have these wheels on my car, but sadly Michelin doesn't make a 255/40/17 in the Super Sport. So I make do with a 245.

17x7.5 +50 and 17x9 +63 with no spacers. RE11 tires, 215/45/17 and 245/40/17. No rubbing with 1" drop and stock camber.
225 fronts rubbed a little when I had them. Depends on the brand though, some are wider than others. 215 RE11 are about an inch wider than the 215 RE050 that came stock on AP2 cars.
I like the feeling of 215/245 best. Quicker response, more nimble than a 225/255 setup. Plenty of traction for a normally aspirated S2K on the street.
