I found matt finishes hide the brake dust easier - honestly, they look pretty much the same after a session at the track as they did when clean

Matte. Brake dust. OEM wheels are way too small to pull off any color other than silver or flat black. /story.

+1 Flat black. For DIY

Otherwise get them painted what ever color you like, if you get a shop to do it. The clear coat will soooo much better if professionally done.

Both are good colors, depending on what wheels. OEM 16' simply can't pull off flat black. Again, I never liked painted OEM 16'.

Ahh crap, I already voted but didn't realize that you were painting your stock wheels. In that case, I switch my vote from flat to gloss b/c OEM AP1 wheels do look stupid in flat black.
