So are you saying I am not in the smart crowd?
When did one lap of America and Drifting use the same kind of techniques? We are talking about the figure skating of motorsports compared to the very technical high speed grip driving of One lap of America. It makes total sense to use a 200 series tire rather than a 300 series tire purely on cost alone. Does it make any sense to you to spend so much on tires that you will bring down to belts in 1 to 2 lap battles while drifting? If that makes sense to you then I would highly believe you are in the other crowd you failed to mention.
Learn to accept what is different, and opening your mouth before thinking things through and considering the obvious points made.

HKS Evo, Sierra Sierra Evo, Cusco STi, Cyber Evo & Revolution RX-7 all use 10.5 (or 10s) on 265s/18s.
This is max stretch based upon manufacture specs.
Top Miata spec cars all run 225s on 9", again max stretch.
The HSV 010GT runs 330s on 13s front and rear
Matching wheel width and tire width (max spec stretch) seem to be the fastest around a track.
