Storing Bridgestone RE-11 tires in unheated garage
Is it okay to store summer tires in my unheated garage? I have a set of Bridgestone RE11 tires that have been taken off the car and are sitting in the garage. I don't know if the cold will cause them to crack. (The temperatures where I live can get as cold as -40 degrees Celcius)

From Tire Rack:
My tires remain off the ground so they don't flex. And my garage remains above 20°F pretty much all the time.

From Tire Rack:
It is not recommended to drive on these types of tires at temperatures below 40 degrees F (5 degrees C).It is recommended these types of tires be stored indoors at temperatures maintained at above 20 degrees F (-7 degrees C) when not in use.

Interested to hear more on this. I have 4 RE11As stacked in my garage waiting for wheels. Care to elaborate on the negatives to this? Thanks!

chuck is right, off the ground and no pressure.

Stacked on the sidewall should be fine, its when they are upright on the tread for long periods of time, that you will get a deformation/flat spot in the tread, which may or may not totally disappear once mounted, certainly can make balancing a challenge.
