Stock wheels/tires shouldn't scrub, right?

Probably more info is needed though - e.g. what temp was it outside (colder = easier sliding), etc.

If you are driving that fast, you should probably take the car to an autox to find the limits rather than the street - much safer for you (and others). The S2k's can be somewhat treacherous at the limits (especially if stock) and you have to be quick to catch it ...

These are Continental DSW in the rear, stock tires in the front. I didn't think it was anything serious, just wanted to be sure they weren't causing damage to the fender well

It has happened in warm and cold temps. Not really driving fast, just sharp turns, on flat country roads. I like the car too much to put it at any risk of damage.

I think it may be VSA + tires sliding as suggested. The car kind of uhh, vibrated, when this occurred, and the VSA light did flash, so I guess it's just a combination of tires sliding and VSA modulating, and not the car scrubbing itself.
