Default staggered offset/Rubbing

Hello!

I purchased an s2k a couple weeks ago and the previous owner told me the specs are 17x9.5 +28 Front and 17x9.5 +38 rear, 245/40/17 F+R

Also, the rears dont rub at all as im running a lot of neg camber (dont know the spec, but too much for my liking) and the fenders are rolled. however up front i have 30mm carbon over fenders and they rub on compression and hard cornering.

any suggestions?

Any input would be appreciated. Im new to tuning aggressive wheels/suspension as i had a non-wide/ high offset wheel and suspension setup on my subaru.

Stock offsets are +55F/+65R. Those wheels are

I'd go with option 4: get different wheels and tires. Trying to cram +28F in without rubbing will just ruin your handling, and I'm sure someone out there will be crazy enough to buy them.

Those wheels are not made for S2000.

you'd probably do better with 17x8 +45F and 17x9 +48R with 225/255.

in terms of handling? I like the meaty non staggered look but im open to anything. Truth be told i love my xd9s although they are a little agressive for my taste, id really keep them if it wasnt so bad on the tires/wheel bearings/ messing up my carbon fenders.

yes, that's purely from a handling standpoint.

With the 30mm fenders, 17x9 +35 would be fine but would be slightly hard to fit without rubbing in rear. Remember offset is what causes rubbing and 35 is low for stock quarters. A 17x10 +45 with a 255 is an easier fit than a 17x9 +35 and would be "flush".

A 17x10 +45 would stick out 3mm further than a 17x9 +35, so it would actually be harder to fit.
