Square AP2V1 Rolled/tab relocated fender fitment
Hi all, I'm using my AP2V1 square wheels as a daily driver setup and I want the fitment to be flush so I've been doing some calculations. I hope this thread can be a discussion/help thread for future square AP2V1 S2000 owners.
My track wheel setup (Wedssport SA72R 17x10 +55) is pretty much perfect with 255/40/17 Hankook RS4 tires slightly stretched so I want the fitment to be close to what that is. I attached some pictures of teh current setup so you have an idea of what the fender/wheel goal is.
I will be getting 245/40/17 Continental DWS06+ tires for it so it won't be a stretch fitment so I will calculate +3-5 mm of offset in addition. I'll measure the offset later to double check.
But I found that if I want to have a similar fitment to my current wheels, I will actually need 20mm spacers all around. Without spacers, my wheels would sink IN 29mm as seen here:
So if I add a 25mm spacer, I end up with retraction of 4mm, which in theory should be enough room for the tires to be bulge out considering I currently have a stretched tire fitment.
I'll keep updating this thread with the fitment progress but this is where I'm at right now

I'm guessing you mean a 25mm spacer and not a 20mm spacer. If you don't have any rubbing issues with your track set up, you'll be more than fine with your new daily drive set up using 25mm spacers. You're still a bit inboard of what your track set up is and important to check section width of tires (how wide they actually run) and not take their sizing for granted. In 255, the RS4 runs 10.6 inches whereas the 245 DWS06+ runs 9.8 inches so you should have no issues with rubbing even without stretching the tires.
