I'm looking for some all season tires for a RSX.

So far i've been told that the following are solid tires:
Goodyear Assurance TripleTred
Bridgestone RE960AS Pole Position

Currently IIRC have OEM Michelin PS.

I find the OEM tires are very responsive and deliver good feedback and want something similar (thinking about sticking with them again)

Does anyone care to share some insight on the tires above or wish to extend the tire selection please feel free!

(I know the ultimate solution would be to go with a summer/winter combo, but it's not going to happen this year)

 

You should try the Kumho MX's or the Supra 712's

They say summer tires, but I've had the 712's on year round and they are fine. A good friend has the ASX's on an RX-8 and he loves them.

 

The OEM Michelin PS are amazing, but pricy. If you dont mind spending the $$ then get them again, if you want a good tire for the price then the Kumho ASX would be a good alternative. Something in the middle would be the Yokohama YK520.

I'm looking at the Yokohama Advan S4. I've read good things including great grip (wet and dry) and a very smooth quiet ride. They're comparable to the Bridgestone RE960AS Pole Position. The S4s are supposedly a little better in dry weather and the Bridgestones are supposed to be a little bit better in the rain. Hope this helps. You can get them at tirerack.com

 

I also like the Yokohama and the RE960AS. If you look at all around performance I would go with the RE960. The advantage is with the dual layered rubber compound the 960AS is going to retain more of the original traction over the life of the tire.

Trippple ditto! Both of those are good tires.

But my question is if you are really going to drive in ONT in the winter in this car, I would personally go for one of the HP winter tires Blizz LM-25.

 

 

michelin makes an all season pilot sport, basically a touch less sport and more rugged than a true pilot sport. its called teh pilot sport A/S.

 

I had the Potenzas 960's on my 350z. The were great in bad weather and even alllowed me to drive home in a surprise ice storm. Dry traction was almost as good as the stock re040's and the ride was much smoother and much more quiet.

The only downside was the side wall flexing. I'm thinking of getting some All Season for the S2k and I'm leaning towards the Yokohama Advan S4.
