Default SPOON calipers and rim clearance

I recently bought a pair of those beautiful blue SPOON calipers for the S2. Problem is that they don't clear my stock rims. One solution was to use spacers but wasn't really recommended. The other solution, eventually the S2 will need a new set of shoes, so which ones? I got it narrowed down to these two rims; WORK emotion or VOLK ce28n. Sticking with the same 17" in size, will either one of these two rims clear the SPOON calipers without using spacers. If anybody knows please help, I really want those blue things on.

It's not just about the offset, you need to make sure the spoke design will allow enough clearance for the larger caliper. I think no matter what you're going to have to run some form of spacer with the two rims you describe.

I am having the same problem. I was really disapointed after buying the Spoon cali during my vecation, and coming back hoping to cruse around the next day with blue breaks..

I am getting the LE28N 17", plus 10mm spacer with longer wheel bolts, this will solve the problem for now.

good luck and keep up posted

ps: i have searched alot in the forum regarding the Spoon breaks,!! Did anyone installed it yet! DUUUH!

Correct. Spoon calipers are not that big. There are about 10-15 sets of wheels that will work with these brakes.

Thanks for the input guys, i think i might just get the spacer and extend the wheel studs for now, just to to get the brake system installed.
Any other input would still be appreciated.
