I agree. The S03 will likely lose grips before the S-02.

Unless your front S-02's are worn. I have S-03's in back and S-02's in front. I get a bit of understeer unless I throttle it.

All in all, it's not a bad combo. The rear end is much more predictable as it warns you way before you are in over your head.

I think it's going to feel spooky in rutted out roads since the rear sidewalls will be softer than the front. Oversteer for sure in the beginning (first 500-1000 miles) till you break those 03's in .... after that who knows . I don't think you're going to like the feel while just driving around (not pushing it) let alone at the edge of adhesion, IMNSHO

I have been running s02's up front and s03's in the back with no problems at all, other than the fact that my tires wore out VERY quickly. Part of this problem may have been due to the fact that the rears were replaced in the stock width (225/50/16) when they should have been replaced with 245/45/16's. Also my tire pressure may have been a tad bit high, but nothing out of the ordinary. Handling is great with the s03's, I really like them... I just hope the new set of 245's I just ordered will last longer than my last set.

You can complain to Bridgestone!

I have, since their application guide clearly states that the correct rear tire size for the S2000 is a 225/50-16. I spoke to some CSR's and they agreed that it SHOULD be a 245/45-16 when using a non-OEM S0-2 tire.

I burned through my rear S0-3's (225's) in only 6000km. Too much oversteer too.
