Simple 17 Setup for 2006 S2000
I take delivery of my 2006 on November 19th. Between now and then I would like to get my wheels/tires and send them to the dealer for installation. I may decide to lower the car in the future, so I want to stay close to stock size.
I will stay with a 17" rim, and 7.5 ~ 8 for front width and 8 ~ 9 for back width. Probably get the CE 28's, RG's, or something in that class. Can someone confim for me the correct wheel/offset and tire/profile size to accomplish what I am after? I am doing most of this site-un-seen and dont want to delay delivery since I have to travel 700 miles to go and get the car.
Thanks!

How do you bring home the four OEM wheels and tires ? Not in the S, I hope.
I worked the same thing out with the stereo, front bumper, and hood. My credits on all parts returned to honda helped me keep the car way under MSRP with upgrades.

Heh heh... Not taking the OEM tires home. I got a huge discount off my car for basically purchasing it without the wheels. It's all about working the system - you can request the dealer credit you for the tires and wheels and take off the price. It also helps to have a family member as a store manager. I can't tell you the price I am paying, but if you bought yours new, you don't want to know because you will feel like you paid too much.

You got the best deal possible, smart guy
I bought mine new early Nov 2003. It was only one available in the color I like most within Orange County, CA. I paid a lot more than most for model year 2004 (I had $800 discounted from list price).
But I did not regret at all for buying the S2000 at that price.
