Default Should I buy another tire

I just wanted to ask if I should buy another stock rear tire to replace my left wheel. I unfortunalely hit a curb and needed to get a new right tire and rim. Will there be a difference if I do put a new tire. When I drove the car after fixing, it felt different maybe cause of the two uneven weared tires.

Just want to know basically what a new and old tire on the rear will have on handling, etc. if it does at all.

If the other tires are further into their life then you will want to shave the new one down to match. It's hard on the rear diff to have two different diameters in the rear

^ agreed

Also, the new tires takes a bit to break in. And before that, it has a slightly different shape (from other side worn-in surf face pattern/shape) than existing tire. The handling may be slightly off until fully broken in.

Adding on to what I said earlier, I have never had the heart to shave down a new tire, so I normally just buy new tires in pairs (and been lucky enough to mostly wear out pairs at a time).

Yeah, you should probably update the other tire as well unless the age between them (tread depth) is relatively low.

this may be an obvious question but did you have the car realigned after hitting the curb?

Yes the car was realigned and wheels balanced.
