Default S03 vs S02

Yep it's the old S03 vs S02 thread rearing it's ugly head again.

After reading all the various comments in the S03 vs S02 debate I was intrigued by one common thread. It looked as if those owners that chose to go with the S03 in th OEM size 225 were unhappy and those that went with the 245 liked 'em. This might not be the case in all instances but the results should be enlightning non the less

Please reply honestly to the questions above..........If you've never owned a set of S03's please don't bother responding!!

I have the 245 SO3's but I can tell the OEM SO2's grip much better. I will be able to tell during the next track event. Good tires if you are using th S2K as a daily driver.

Thanks

Yep you're on to something... S03's suck! (You know I had to)

Well it took you over a month last time to bribe enough votes in favor of the S03 to just catch up to all the votes for the stock S02s...kidding!

I can imagine that this may take as long to pan out...

So far it's 50/50 both places... how fun!

Wow your a tough one.

You never answered my question on the other thread about what width you ran......I'm guessing yours sucked because you didn't buy the proper size and lack of driving skill.

Thought so.

Looks like you should have done a little more research and made a more informed choice!!

Thought so...

Ran the stock sizes just like the Mfr. said... and voted accordingly... if you have to stuff an oversized tire on there just to get the same contact patch... pretty sad. It's all good in the hood though. To each his own.

My drivings skills are not in question... and certainly not by you... but you can start a new thread if you want to whine on about That subject.

Hmmm you just don't seemed to be the type to be a slave to the manufacturers "recommendation" They are just that "recommendations" you know.

Oh well as you say "to each his own".

I'm I missing something
I believe the results are coming in exactly as Mack thinks they should, if you bought 225's you'll hate them, if 245's you'll like them. He's spent half his life (on the other thread) trying to get people to understand that, maybe he needs to just sit back and watch the show

Mack, I think this is very interesting. Early last year I bought a set of Kumho 712's in the 225/245 sizes for street driving and playing. To start with I liked them and really liked the cheap price. After a couple of months and way too many heat cycles the rears became may-sticks or non-sticks. The tires lasted well though since I got right at 3000 miles out of the rears before they were totally slick. All kidding aside for the cheap price I may buy them again since all my high performance driving is on non street tires and my alignment eats street rubber. I have been thinking about the S03's also and would rather have them.
