A "sweeping" turn in the S2000 often involves a shifting of gears. It's good to remember this will transfer weight from back to front, and on a wet surface this can often break the rear wheels loose.

I have only gotten one "wiggle" exiting a 90* right hand second gear turn in the rain. I have found (as a new owner, with just over 3,000 miles) these "sneakers" to be exceptional with one exception. The day I picked the car up in April it was an eighty degree day and the next morning it was forty something degrees. I pitched the car into a 80* left hander and the back end broke loose about 60* to the right. I used my Skip Barber training to try to recover and then the suspension unloaded and I did a classic "J hook" spin to the left. The cold tires did not even leave a skid mark on the macadam. This was of course before I received the warning from a member buddy warning me about cold tires below 50*F.

Any one have any experience with the Michelin Pilots?

Shannonville had huge pools of standing water...at the end of the back straight of all places ...trying to brake and stay out of the water was tricky and you could feel the back end squirming around...

At over 120mph on the main straight at Portland, the back end would get a little wiggly as I ran over the puddles. But my SO-2s had 18,000 miles on 'em then.

I think they're pretty d@mn good in the rain (for a max performance tire), but the huge difference in grip between warm/dry and cold/wet catches a lot of people up.

Can anyone help me find out why my browser (IE6.0) hangs whenever I try to view this thread. Any fancy anymations/sounds/fancy image formats, etc??? Anyone has any unusual signature item? Once it hangs it just does not show any more pics and I have to restart the computer!

I'm sorry this is off-topic but I don't have another computer I can use to view the page. I'm going crazy trying to fix this problem for 2 days now, even installed windows98/IE again

I have the same problem, though I only have to start a new IE session. I've reported it to cthree and krazik. Presumably it will be resolved soon.

Glad I'm not the only one. I don't think it's s2ki.com's problem, though. I've done some research since posting about the problem and it seems it's quite common with IE but no one really seems to know the cure. If you find something please PM me, I'll do the same.

I have been able to isolate the problem to the "blue fin tuning" picture in speeding's signature. No, it's not speeding's fault or anything. I am still trying to find why and how to fix this problem.
