In my area (Mississippi) the cold and wet season is starting. I'm at the time where I need to order new tires. Since I don't compete my S2k, would It be better for me to save a few $ and go with S-03's that have better wet grip then the S-02? Do the S-03's last longer then the S-02? After about 10K miles my S-02's are wearing thin. I'm willing to loose a little bit of performance to the S-03 to have longer lasting tires with better wet traction.
Any suggestions?

Squeezer,
Yes...if you do not compete, run on a track, or drag your S2000...S03's are the answer.
They will last longer, and have wider water displacement grooves.
You will loose some performance, but that is the trade off.
I suggest you purchase 205/55/16 and 245/45/16. As you might have discovered, the stock 225/50/16 S02 has a monster tread width.
