Default Rubbing or no? 225/255 tires

Hey guys I know that the stock tires of 215/45 and 245/40 would fit fine with these wheels dropped but considering the offset is a little lower at 50+ all around, would it be fine with 225 front and 255 rear on a 1 inch drop, any help is appreciated, thanks.

I think you're borderline. Depending on your alignment settings after lowering you may rub. For instance if you have the car aligned back to OEM camber settings you might rub, but if you run a little more negative camber you might be OK. Try to pick a tire without a thick tire protector ridge.

Alternatively, stick with the OEM tire sizes to be safe.

You do not mention how wide the wheels are.

That is borderline. I am running wider Cwest front fenders at a 3 inch drop and I rub with a 225/45/17 front tire on my 17x7.5 +48 front with a 5mm spacer. I just bought new 215/45/17 front tires and it solved my problem. I went with 255/40/17 rears with a 17x8.5 +54 rear and no rubbing at 3 inch drop.. Camber is at -2.6 rear and front is -1.6..

So your answer is you will rub with a 225 front tire and rear you may rub also. I would stick with your OEM sizing..

I have 255/35/18 in the rear with a 1" drop and it rarely rubs. I think you'll be ok.

But you have rubberband tires so in your case you shouldnt rub but it must ride horrible..
