Default RPF1 18x9.5 +45

I have been searching the forum but so far it seems that all I've seen are inquiries. I also found some pics that showed some hints of it but none specific. I know this rim has been widely used in the MX-5 circuit but so far I find it difficult to find here. I'm thinking this rim should be perfect with a 285-30-18 unless the issue of course is the weight and the difficulty of fitting. It's been 10 years so I'm guessing if there's a wheel that is possible for the S2k it might have been tested. Any takers? Thanks.

Oh I have a set of 285-30-18 from a friend so just thinking if I can use it if not np.

A 285 width tire with a +45 offset is going to need a fair amount of work for it to fit. Expect to do a full fender roll, bumper tab relocation, camber and/or fender stretch.

To give you a more visual idea, this is going to put you about 20mm past the threshold of rubbing on a stock fender. You can make up about 10mm of that by doing a fender roll. The additional 10mm is going to have to come from camber, a stretched fender, or both. Going with a more moderate width tire would help you a lot here.

I agree the 285 would be a bit of a hard fit without a lot (more than 3) camber and pulled fenders. But as they say, you'll never know unless you try!
