compared to the stock 16's,
16x7 +40 front = 9mm more inner clearance and 21mm less outer clearance (sticks out 21mm more)
16x8 +48 rear = 11mm more inner clearance and 23mm less outer clearance

as a comparison, my Prodrive GC-07c's were:
17x7.5 +48 front = 6mm less inner clearance and 20mm less outer clearance
17x8.5 +54 rear = 2mm less inner clearance and 24mm less outer clearance

A 16x7 +45 front would yield 4mm more inner clearance and 16mm less outer clearance vs stock. Personally, I would rather have the +45's instead of the +40's, so I have more clearance under the fender.

I never had any rubbing problems with the prodrives on a stock-height car, so I would wager that the offsets above would work with the rotas --- ***IF THEY CAN BE MADE WITH THE CORRECT CENTER BORE*** Last time I talked to a rota rep, I was told that the 16x8 does not come in the correct center bore (70.3mm front and 64.1mm rear ).

I'm no expert, but I can plug numbers into someone else's online calculator -- http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp

Let me state the reason I want a 16x7 +40 for the Front is because i'll clear the BBK. Remember the Spoon SW338s are 16x7 +35 in the front And they work with the car.

Glad to hear you are still on top of this. I'm looking forward to what you find out. I also was reading they offer a "hyper-black" color. Anyone have pictures of this color?

Cmdr,

I'd buy a set or two also. One set Black and the other Bronze.

I'd be up for a set of 16x7 and 16x8 slipstreams, if the center bores are correct. If these are special order anyway, and they could give us a little better offsets -- something in the ballpark of +48F/+55R, I'd be *REALLY* tempted to buy 2 sets.
I concur with sc highlander. If they were in better offsets i would buy a set as well. my wallet awaits............

CMDR, so are you trying to get sets in the more ideal offsets? as sc highlander mentioned?
