I'm thinking about s9me enkei rims that i like, to switch these out with.. but i can only find them in a 17x8, can't find a 17x9. Don't know if that will be an issue with the back since you recommended 17x9 for the back..

It is an issue. OEM AP2 wheels are 17x8.5 in the rear. You want at least that width for ANY S2000. And those are not rolled. You need to have your fenders rolled to avoid damaging them. Unless you buy OEM ap2 wheels or wheels with the same or very similar specs.
