Default The right sizes?

Are these tires a good fit for an AP1? I can save some $$ buuying them slightly used. I am not looking for a performance tire just a regualr use tire. I am always regarding tire sizes and offsets...

BFGoodrich Sport 205/55-16 and 2 225/50-16

Thanks for any feedback

Have you read the "correct tire size" sticky at the top of this forum?

youll want to run either a 215 or 225 front and a 245 rear.

you could although do a 225 or 235 rear if you really wanted.

Yes... and it is 16 pages long with seemingly conflicting statements depending on the brand/quality tire.

If they were S02's then I think thats the right size... if not then they arent, except with a few other tires. My 1st guess was the fronts are OK, the rears, not so much, but am looking for a little guidance. I can save $$ on these but it doesnt do much good if I shouldnt be using them.

They are coming off another AP1.

well then you want to hear, go ahead and but them, they will be fine. Its true, they will be fine and if you dont care to handle well or anythign else and just want a deal, then giver. Chances are, they will be less wide then the oem ones you had when you got it.

This is really totally incorrect.

To the OP

The 205/225 combo should be fine. Might oversteer slightly more than stock, the S02 OEM 225's are really wide for 225's, is basically what the tire size sticky boils down to.

Tire make/model choice is infinitely more important than whether or not you get 225/50-16 rears or 245/45-16s.

205/55-16 F 225/50-16 R is perfectly fine and safe IF you have appropriate good tires for your usage!

G-Force Sports should be fine if you absolutely certainly wont' ever be driving in snow/ice.

They are not going to handle as well as the S02's either. They will be better in the wet and they should last longer. BFG does not list trread width but my guess is they are going to be about 1/2" narrower on the rear contact patch. This would make the car want to oversteer more.
The problem at this time is everybody is discontinuing the 245/45R16 tires.
If I can help with the tires let me know.
