Default RFP1 w/ +35 offset will they rub ?

Hello,

I'm looking to buy the 17x8 +45 offset front and 17x9 +35 offset rear. Plan on using stock tire sizes 215/45 and 245/40.

My question is will the rear tires rub ? Should I be going with the +45 offset?

thanks

Yes, they will but last time I checked the RPF1 didn't come in that size/offset. 17x9.5" +38 or 17x9 +45 is the ones closest to the one you mentioned.

Is there something I can do to stop the rub? Or should I just get the +45 offset.

Also the website I'm buying them from list as +35 offset...here is the link....

In order to stop the rub some light fender work will be needed. Roll the rear fenders, relocate the bumper tab and maybe run some more camber.

ah, I see thanks for the advise, more then likely will stick with the +45 offset, don't want to be rubbing, or rolling the fenders

I think you will still rub if you run 45 offset in the rear, if you don't roll your fenders.

A buddy of mine ran 17x8/17x9 setup, 45 offset on stock AP2. 215/45/17 & 255/40/17 and he rubbed around corners. 245's might make a slight difference (0.39") vs 255's.

They do make a 9" +35 but its more common to see 9" +45

^yup and if you're running that size up front I can't see any reason why you'd go with the +35 over the +45

Thanks Everyone, your advice is much appreciated,

Anyone know why the Tire Rack RFP1 selection is limited to silver and black only and limited sizes.

1010tires.com has way more selection...
