Default Replacing tires

I finally worked it out (call me 'dense') that I cannot run my 225/45 245/45 17 setup without some changes to the suspension and or getting rid of a lot of plastic inside the wheel wells.

Facing the possibility of having to dump all four tires (only 200 miles on them) I am wondering if the following is possible/practical/good idea. I would appreciate your input (specially Jim)

1. Move the the 225s to the back as they are the recommended size for non OEM 17" rear tires
(225/45/17)
2. Get new tires for the fronts (205/50/17)

Since the Azenis Sport are not made in 205/50/17 I would have to go to a different tire. What are the consequences of running two different tire threads (Azenis are really sticky)?

What tires would you recommed for the fronts?
Would you recommend to change all four tires? What tires would you recommend (will be
track tires but don't want to go overboard with the $$$)

The wheels are GT1 17X7 and 17X8 .

Your input is appreciated.

Do you have a 245/45R17 rear or a 245/40R17 rear?
