Rear wheels wont clear calipers...help!
So I've been waiting all week to mount up my new wheels/tires only to find they won't bolt up over the rear calipers. The wheels are 18x9 +40 w/ 245/35/18 tires. Fronts are 18x8 +35 w/ 215/40/18s. Fronts are perfect fit fine. But the rears won't bolt up due to the bracket on the outside of the caliber. Its only about 2-3mm of required clearance. So...what now? Sell um? Add a 5mm spacer and risk even more rubbing? Trim the caliper bracket? I'm running -3 camber, trimmed rear tabs and fenders. Was running a 17x9 +45 w/ 255s no problem. Help!!
I can see the problem with the wheels...they have very low back spacking to make a hugh lip.
I hate to sell them because they are brand new and I just dumped a bunch of cash into them.

I'm guessing you are talking about the bracket that holds the e-brake cable.
The best thing would be to run a little less camber, which I would do over a spacer.
You could also grind a couple of mm off of the bracket and be done with it.
But, I'm not recommending that you do that, and take no responsibility if you decide to do so and have no e-brake when you need it.

Thanks for the input guys. Just to be clear...the inside of the rim face is hitting the outside of the caliper bracket. So my plan I guess is to add a 3mm spacer in hopes of pushing the wheel out enough to clear the caliper, but not too much as to have even more rubbing on the fender. Talk about a tight fitment. I hope to post pictures by the end of the week.
