Default Rear Tire Rubbing Issues....

My tires are currently rubbing w/ Falken Azenis RT615 tires (255/40/17) on Volk TE 17x.8.5 Offset 50+ wheels.... I am lowered on Eibach Pro Kit springs. I wanted to know why I am rubbing....is it because my spring rates are not stiff enough? or am I not suppose to rub?

I was thinking of rolling the fenders or changing the alignment to compensate for it. I rather not change the alignment to prevent the rubbing issues. What are your thoughts on rolling fenders. I also noticed on the S2K that there is a rubber linning on the fender. Thanks in advance!

Thats what I was thinking....would you roll the fenders with the rubber piece on the fender or remove that lining? I wasn't too sure.

If you rolled your fender you would have to remove that lining.

would rolling the fender increase the chance of water/dirt trapping inside the rolled fender and will eventually rust?

my rims are 17x9.5 +55 so if i do decide to lower the car ill probably have to roll them fenders

I have Work VS-SS 17x8.5 with 51 offset. The tires are Re050 245/40/17. They are a tight fit. They don't rub. But I would not attempt to put on 255s because it's that close as it is now. I don't want to roll the fenders! I'll go to a different offset before I do that.

Sorry to hear you are rubbing.

This is just another thread that shows +50 wheels from Volk and others don't really fit yet a ton of vendors push these sizes.

Talk to Jim at Tire Rack. I had a similar problem with some 18s with not enough offset. He changed me to rear 35s - problem solved.
