hey guys. i need help on what tires to get. i rather not have S0-2's because they wear out fast. my friend said to buy goodyear eagle F1s, he said the tires offers good performance and longer tread wear. i need your opinions. i was looking to go for goodyear eagle F1s, or potenza S0-3's. i dont want to spend a grip load of money on tires. i looked on tire rack and saw the kumho tires for really cheap and was wondering if you guys thought it was good. it rains often here, so i was looking for performance and weather. and if you guys do reccomend tires, could you give me the right tire size, offsets. i am a noobie about offsets and dont really know what it means. thanks.

Try doing a little searching before asking such a general question. You'll find a bunch of threads on the topic.
Look at the sticky at the top of this forum for questions about tire size!

Yes they wareout fast, but they are the best tire for the S-2000, the tire was made for this car. they are a max performance tire, and give better grip at the cost of tire life. its just part of the reality of a high performance sports car. if you paid a lot money for your car, then dont compromise with a lesser tire. IMO, drive safe

IMO, the best tire for dry grip is the OEM tire. The best tire for improved safety in wet conditions with slightly less dry performance is the Bridgestone SO3. If you get the SO3 be sure to use 245/45/16 in the rear and the stock size of 205/55/16 for the front.
They are not inexpensive tires, but are worth it to me. Only you can decide if the additional cost is worth the improvements that they offer over less expensive tires.
And call Jim at The Tire Rack - he's taken very good care of me in the past.

I've always worn out fronts faster. At autocross, I'm always fighting understeer. Have to keep reminding myself to slow down a little more before the corners, I guess.

Pretty much any rear performance tire you get will wear out in about 10k miles in normal use because of the alignment specs. Basically, any tire other than the original should be ordered in the 245 size. You can go to www.tirerack.com and compare the measurements for various tires yourself. Check the other threads here to find which tires perform better for your concerns. Jim has pretty much addressed all tires somewhere on this board.
