Default RE750 front tire size

Jim, I am planning to get a set of RE750 to replace my current tires. It seems like both the 205/55/16 and 225/50/16 would work as the front tire. Which size fits the s2000 on OEM rims better?

Stay with the 205/55R16 for the front with the 245/45R16 on the rear.
If I can help with the tires let me know.

Jim I have recently equipped the front with 225/50/16 RE750 and 245/45/16 with rear.

What am I missing here? I thought I've done my research?

soundzero, you are fine with your setup. The contact patch for the 225's are equavelent to the 205's of the s02s. 225's may look like they're sticking out compared to the rears having 245s. But since you have that setup, maybe you can tell us how it looks.

it does seem front is sticking out a little bit.
But I do not mind.

Handling is very neutral. Granted, tires are new so I couldn't really tell the limit of these tires yet.

Today it rained all day and I was able to test out the wet traction and I am very pleased so far! No signs of hydroplaning or any significant loss of traction due to wet road.

Although, I braked hard a few times and the car slipped a few times but it was relatively predictable. I tried to throw the back end out but the front cathced it hard and therefore it was bit jerky compared to SO2. Perhaps, its because I only have less than 500miles on the tires.

Handling is fine so far. Feels definitely poised and safe on wet surface! I am happy so far!
