Default Race tire group buy: Is it possible?

Haven't seen anything like this done before, don't know if it's possible. With as many racers as there are on this board and the autocross season getting ready to start, there's definitely a demand for tires. A new set 225/50 and 245/45-16 Hoosier A3S03s is over $700 before shipping, and the Kumho Victoracer V700s about $550. The question here is which set people are more interested in, and what kind of support we can get from TireRack.

Post here to let 'em know you're interested!

I'm interested....but I doubt Tirerack will be cutting any deals. They're petty firm about their pricing policies. Never hurts to ask though!

If they won't work with us these guys might......

I'm interetsed in the Hoosiers if the price is right otherwise I'll stick with Kumhos again this season.

I agree with Mack. I don't think Tire Rack will offer any prices better than their usual, but it doesn't hurt to ask and I'll be needing a set of 16" autocross tires this season.

If you get a discount, I'm in for a set of VictorRacers.

If you can put something together I be interested in either for under $500 total. I'd settle for 205 and 225 at that price.

I would love to, but everything we sell is at a discount. Also there is not much mark up in competition tires. We do sponsor the board and the board does get paid on orders but the prices would be the same.
I do think that Kumho does offer contigency fees for racing.
If I can help let me know.
Thank you

Cool, thanks for the response Jim - I understand.

Well folks, let's just be sure to mention S2KI when we buy tires, to help cthree maintain this great site.

Looks like we're going to have to win at Nationals to get cheaper tires!
