Default Questions on fittment

Hello Everyone,

I am looking to buy new shoes. This will be my first time buying wheels I am looking to get a flush set up. I am willing to roll my fenders. I am lowered on H&R springs (dropped by 0.75 in the front and 0.60 in the rear). I do not plan on autoxing or tracking, so decided to go with 18s.

Front
Wheels - 18 x 7.5 +47
Tires - 215/40

Rear
Wheels - 18 x 8.5 + 47
Tires - 255/35 ( if possible) or 245/35

Questions
Do I have to relocated tabs if i roll my fenders? I do not want any pulling either
Will this spec sit flush if I roll my fenders?
Are square sets or staggered sets more sought after?
If there is a better spec to be flush please let me know.
I want a odd number spoke design with a lip on the wheel. Wheel like the zr10, d9r, and 11r. I am not set on the wheels yet, any suggestions would be appropriated. Thank you.

Questions
Do I have to relocated tabs if i roll my fenders? I do not want any pulling either. ---Yes. It rubs the tab before it rubs the fender.
Will this spec sit flush if I roll my fenders? ---Enh it will be more flush than the OEM wheels. You could actually go a little lower on the offset like +45.
Are square sets or staggered sets more sought after? ---What do you me by sought after? Good specs are more sought after. Square or staggered have different pro's and cons based on use cases.

I cannot understand buying 18's that are this narrow. You are just going to be spending more for tires and a heavier wheel than a 17. If they were wider with higher offsets then sure it makes sense. A 255 on an 8.5 is pretty pinched.

Thanks. Made me change my mind. So I am looking for something closer to 17x8 + 45 and 17 x 9 + 45?

Thanks, I think I have a better understanding of what I am looking for now. How much higher would you go?

Is my math correct? Can I just use this formula to find wheels or are there other aspect I have not accounted for?

Front Wheels
17x8 + 45

width = 8 inches
offset = 45

8 inches = 203.2mm
203.2mm/2 = 101.6mm
101.6-45 = 56.6 mm

Rear Wheels
17x9 +45

width = 9 inches
offset = 45

9 inches = 228.6mm
228.6mm/2 = 114.3mm
114.3-45 = 62.95 mm

So would I just look for rims where figures are close to 56.6mm for the fronts and 62.95mm for the rear?

8"/9" +45 with 225/45, 255/40 tires is a very popular fitment and should be what you are looking for. It does require a basic fender roll and rear tab relocation. There are a ton of pics in the RPF1 thread for reference. Willtheyfit.com is a good reference when comparing two wheels, this is OEM AP2 front compared to 8" +45: https://www.willtheyfit.com/index.ph...h=8&offset2=45

Peeps always go on about 225/255s on +45. Yeah, its popular but plenty have had issues with it rubbing, it's not what I'd call a "good fit" on the S2000. IMO something like PF01/PF01SS in 17x8 +50 17x9 +60 is a much better way to go.

It doesn't rub at all when done correctly and he wants "flush", which it is. 8/9 +45 will extend out 23mm front and 26mm rear compared to stock. There is nothing wrong with a higher offset but you start to really limit the options. PF01 is a nice, conservative track setup and would be out 18mm front, 11mm rear. At this point he has the tools to do the math and decide for himself.

I looked at both options. The 17x8 + 50 / 9 + 60 looks good too. This thread, on post 7, has 17x9 + 61 square. https://www.s2ki.com/forums/wheels-t...-body-1188667/ But I am leaning toward the 8/9 + 45. Thanks again for all the help.
