Default Q's about Advan RG-D

I've always been terrible with the whole offsets deal and knowing what sizes I need. I just got my kw3's on and my sos sc kit and am gonna need some more tire. I'm looking at going 9in all around and see alot of people doing 9+45, now I look at the sos site and their 9in s2k specif wheel is +60. What is the benefit of one over the other? what kind of difference will you have visually, and functionally would you be better off with a +45 or +60. Wheel Guru's do your thing please, much thanks for the assistance.

High numerical offsets push the wheel towards the car and lower offsets push the wheel away from the car. 9" wide +60 is close to stock and you will be able to fit this wheel with beefy tires (255 width) without modifying the fenders. 9" +45 is much more aggressive and you'll either have to modify your fenders or run skinny tires to fit these wheels.

Some folks like the look of wheels sticking out as far as possible. These people usually prefer lower offsets. The problem is that this compromises the the physical integrity and handling integrity of the car. Wheels that fit better (in this case the 9" +60) are highly recommended.

so you can fit 255's in the rear without modification or fender relocation or camber adjustments, what will you get on the front with the same wheel, with or without mods

It should fit similarly well in the front, though you might get a bit of rubbing on the fender liner at full steering lock.

Go +60, +45 will def. require a roll in the rear and possibly even a flare for the front. +60 you'll be fine Don't forget if you're going no stagger, you'll def. want a larger front rollbar.

I don't really care about having to modify, will if needed, but am more interested in function. +60 255 all the way around sounds the way to go, unless there are any other suggestions, what about rollbars? what is preferred for suspension bits? already have kw v3's.

I agree- go with the +60. By rollbar he means sway bar, with all the increased grip up front you will have to get a larger sway bar to take full advantage of the added grip.

I have non-stag RG-Ds 17x9 +60 lowered about an inch. I rolled my fenders, trimmed my fender liner, and relocated the rear bumper tab just to be safe. You should have little to no issues. I agree with all I went with function. If you decide to go with +45 you should have no worries with a good fender roll and a slight pull in the front. You also have to consider you suspension set up. If you run more negative camber you will have less chances of rubbing. If your looking for a front sway bar I recommend the Whiteline Front Sway Bar. It's 30mm and you can probably get it for less than $200 new.
