Default Pressed in studs on a spacer

Can someone explain to me what pressed in studs do? Thanks!

Default

if the spacer is too wide you have two choices.
1. change to extended wheel studs
2. spacers 20mm + usually have pressed in studs so you can mount the spacer to your stock studs, then mount the wheel to the spacer's studs.

otherwise you won't have enough thread sticking past the spacer to bolt your wheel up.
