I worked at a wheelfactory and discussed this with an ex collegue, we have some questions :
did you have damage of hitting the sidewalk for example before you had them repainted? or were the wheels flawless?
did you first have the original paint removed? If yes, any idea what type of product they used or how they removed the paint? Acid? Flameburning?
What type of temperature the powdercoat was baked in? Sure it's 400F?
Does anybody know if the original honda wheels are forged or die casted?
Do you have pics of the backside of the spoke?

I painted my wheels and they look great and don't really have any chips. I used Duplicolor wheel paint and Duplicolor wheel clearcoat. I would recommend an adhesion promoter too. This is much cheaper option than powder coating too.
