Default Please Help! My Wheel man says my wheels wont fit!

OK, from the info i gathered from you guys... these specs should fit the s2000 fine right?

17x7 +45
17x8 +45

so i placed my order for am ADVAN Model-6 all anxious and eager!
then today my man calls me up today and says i will have the rears about 1-inch sticking out of the car and does not recommend it...

Even the enkei matching guide states the above offsets are good to go...

Phantom, you said the wheels if anything will be sitting quite flush inside the fenders?

Come on guys give me the confidence to make the right choice...else i'll just flag this idea and go with my 2nd choice ADVAN Model-5 wheels, in same specs as above but have a +50 offset.

They'll fit if you don't go bigger than:
205/50-17's up front
225/45-17's rear
but at those widths, why bother

Phantom said 215/45/17 and 235/40/17 are good to go and even recommended 245/40/17!

Those wheels are the correct offset with 225/45R17 and 245/40R17. If I can help with the tires let me know.
Thank you

17x8 +45 at the rear WILL stick out about 1 cm, no matter what size tire you use. You can't really tell unless you look at it closely. Go with the +50 offset if you don't want it to stick out at all.

I don't like my wheels to stick out "at all". I've seen them in person, so I know for sure they stick out a little, for my personal taste anyway. If you take a rear three-quarter-view shot of the car, the rear wheel would look more sticking out than the pic above. Even with the angle of the pic above, you can see both front and rear wheels are sticking out a little outside the fender.
