In my experience, way less rear toe is more confidence-inspiring and faster than rear toe on the order of .7degrees. You sure getting to be one second faster wasn't just driver progress?

I ran that much for a while, but tire wear caused me to rethink it, and lo and behold the car's handling became more linear and predictable, less twitchy, while at the same time more responsive at turn-in with way less rear toe, ~.2 degrees total. And tire life more than doubled.

Since money is not just falling out of the sky at me I wouldn't do it... more tire life means I can work out the quirks in my driving style or lack there of by being on the track longer and there keeping money in my pocket for other things.

Maybe it's just driver preference with minor driver progress. I suppose confidence adds to progress.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't CR alignment spec .7 degrees with 255 width tires.

It did get twitchier as the tires wore out. I'll try a milder toe set up next season and see how that goes.
