i think that when going with a bigger rim like an 18" rim it's just safer to go with a stronger rim ala forged. i've had some bent rims in the past, and a forged wheel should be more dent resistant but not dent proof. yeah, it tends to be more expensive, but repairing a wheel is going to cost as well. also, i don't know much about the wheels posted, but it's kind of hard to find rims with pretty good offsets. rims will fit with an offset that's lower, but if you want to lower it you might have to either get narrower tires or not lower it too much. lastly, it's possible for a cast wheel to be relatively light, but most aren't. again, without knowing about those particular wheels. i can't really say. by no means, let my comments hinder you from purchasing any of those rims that you like. i'm just passing on my past experience with the rims i've bought.

S2R...good points and I'd like to also add that what determines the ability of a wheel to absord road irregularities also has a great deal to do with sidewall height. Tires with 35-40 aspect ratios provide very little sidewall, while a 45-50 ratio opens up the amount of tire protecting the wheel. This in turn, will be affected by the tire's width as well. I see many young import drivers with 18-inch wheels with sidewalls barely visible. It might look nice, but certainly has to provide a tooth-rattling ride while punishing the wheel because there is so little sidewall. Some of these guys have less than 3-inches of sidewall to help protect the wheel from potholes and then blame the wheel when it bends. Put that wheel on a 45 series tire and he'd probably have little or no problems.

I just noticed a bunch of other threads you started with diff wheels in this forum... The biggest prob with the wheels you like is the 7-7.5 width... Go with mixed front and rear, they may be more expensive but you will be doing an injustice to the dynamics of the s2000 and it's design if you choose the same size front and rear.
This car was designed for diff front and rear wheel widths...
Notice how Honda very very very seldom mixes wheel sizes and widths... This car is built very well and that should be considered in the aftermarket wheels you choose. If you cant afford the higher priced wheels, just wait and save. You are better off with stock than the incorrect size and the other choices, but if you don't care about the effects or the performance of the car... then go hog wild.
Just look at the $5000 supercharger with a .5 sec change (if that) in performance... It's hard to positively modify a car that has been modified by the factory to the hilt.
Good luck in your search... It took me 7 months to pick the SSR GT3's.
