hey guys, im just trying to get an idea of what some wheels i want will look like with the following offsets posted (as i dont want then sunken in looking). either of the set ups with either of the offsets posted in the topic description. if someone has any pics of a side angle of their car and if they can post if they are lowered are not i would really appreciate it. also their tire size would help. thanks for your help.

are you talking about sunken into the wheel well or the sunken face?
those will give you a sunken face but not sunken into the wheel well.
sunken face looks HAWT!!!

Actually, the higher the offset, the more the face of the wheel is closer the the outside edge of the wheel. Basically, higher offset #= less lip and the wheel will be "more sunken" into the car. Personally, I think the +55 front and rear would be good. I know some guys with Volks have the +65 in the rear and it doesn't look too bad at all.

EDIT:
Not quite what you're looking for but these are F 17x7.5 +50, R 17x9.0 +63:

yea i mean sunken in looking like too high of an offset to where the wheel isnt flush with the fender. i want the wheels im planning to buy to look more aggressive then my car currently does (lowered on AP2 V1 wheels). the reason im asking for a pics is i want to make sure it looks ok, since most people do not run offsets like i posted, however according the the guidelines those are the offsets i would need to run a 235/245 F and 265/275 R tires.

-Edit: Am I thinking of this wrong? for some reason i had in my head having a higher offset will look sunken in, i mean the wheel as a whole, just just how far in the face of the wheel is (ie: a large lip) and i am aware the higher offset will make the over lip smaller if applicable.

-Edit Again: Furthermore how would a high offset affect the look of these wheels? Less concave spokes?

lower offsets make the wheel sit further out on the car, closer to the outside (more aggressive).

yours will fit fine, but a lot of clearance and not very aggressive (similar to stock, i would imagine)

^ yes, a high offset would make the spokes less concave. curved spokes are just like lips in terms of aesthetics. its making up that horizontal distance.. low offset = fat spokes, concave spokes, sunk faces, etc... high offset = small lips, flat spokes, recessed in wheel well.

sunken face looks HAWT!!!
maybe you mean vise versa?

the fronts are definitely too conservative.. not sunken face at all, but very sunk in the wheel well.
the rears, same for +65. +55 however would be more aggressive/sunk face.

yea but i dont believe you can run 265 in the rear lowered without any mods to the fenders which i am not willing to do. i dont care if the spokes are not concave, just dont want it to look exactly like stock as far as where the overall wheel sits in the wheel well. i could care less about lip since this wheel doesnt really have any

Normally concave faces start at around +45 for a 9 inch width.
