Ordering Sumitomo HRTZ III

Dan, will the 205/50's have any effect on acceleration/speedometer calibration?
I've already got the 245/45/16 rears, just have to decide which size to go with up front.
Your setup doesn't look too bad, the front fender gap doesn't seem much larger.. decisions decisions haha
Edit:
Dan, do you have any other pics directly from the side?
Also, anybody have any front tire comparison shots showing a 205/55 vs a 205/50?
I'd like to see a side by side shot to compare the fender gaps.

Front tires don't affect speedo/odo calibration or acceleration.
Unfortunately I don't have any direct side shots.
I wouldn't sweat it too much one way or the other. Personally, I think that visually the slightly larger front fender gap is not really noticeable and more than offset by the front being visibly lower. And I personally really don't care for the look of the fronts appearing "beefier" than the rears, whether it's 205/55-16 fronts with 245/45-16 rears on an AP1 or 225/45-17 fronts with 245/40-17 rears on an AP2.
But that's me...

i decided to go with yokohama S. drive
also just went with stock sizing as well
205/55/16 front
225/50/16 rear
Since this will be a dd set and like ZDan mentioned 245/45/16 doesnt really yield too much selection options, i went with stocking sizing despite of the sticky suggestion.

I followed ZDan's advice and bought stock sizes in Cooper 2XS and have not looked back. Performance is not the same as the stock S02's but neither was the price, and I am happy with this setup.
