Yeah I don't know.... after 700 miles.. I can say the driving feel is almost back to what it used to be with OEM tires.... It used to swirl a little bit in highspeed from left to right.. or righ to to left... to be honest at first I was a little dissapointed....definitely notice the softer sidewall especially on hard turns.

I am pretty happy with the overall value of the tires : treadwear, prices, and grip.

Although gaining mpg isnt my priority, but do you feel like you gain more mpg with these tires?

i never had the issue of the tires being "very greasy" when i got them and i don't know if it was the set i got or the region i'm in but they do get better as you add the miles on them.

lately i've been getting 290-305 miles on the car with the empty light on by the time i fill up. i used to get at best 260-280 but i also changed how i drive on the freeway from 75-80mph to 65-70mph and that might explain the increase in mpgs.

another 215/255 owner .

never understood why people are not going with the set up since honda did the same with the CR.
because honda also changed suspension rates all over the place...

true, but the type-S in japan still has the RE050 with 245/40 while the CR gets the the RE070 with 255/40. japan doesn't think much of us in regards to being competent drivers so they gave the u.s. versions stickier wider rubbers.

Do you do spirited driving everyday? Topdown? Highway driving/Street Driving?

I get in Vtec zone like mayb once a day and shift normally around 3.5K to 4K RPM. I'm still learning the car as I only have been having it for 1 month. Topdown usually on Friday and weekends.. I get about 22MPG.

On another note, 300 treadwear seems to have something to do with the traction of the car. My guess comes from reading other post about how short treadlife = more traction, R-compound tires, etc... However my car handles alot better now that I have 800 miles on it.

most of my spirited driving involves onramp loops and onramps switchbacks where i occasionally hit vtec but on the freeway i rarely hit vtec and always cruise 65-70mph. when i do a palomar mountain run i usually get 260-270 miles on a tank.

i just filled up on saturday at 301 miles (yellow light) and the pump stopped at 12 gallons and i don't top off. also, i drive with the top down 50% of the time mostly late afternoon - dusk - night. it could also be geographical location.

So tempted to place an order. After doing some "spirited" driving in my Fuzion ZRI and barely keeping up with a G35 I feel like I need new tires.
