Jim, How do they compare to bridgestone RE750 or the Avon's.

the 225 mx is equivalent in tread width to my 245 re750s... i think the mx is a "wide" tire...

Just got a set 215/45/17 and 255/40/17, nice tire, like the rounded edge of the tread. First experience with them, let you know how it goes.

I've been driving my Kumhos in the rain these past couple days - so far so good. They are quiet down the road too.

Thread necromancy in action. Thank you Search!

The stock S-02 has an 8.5" section width in the 225 measurement.
KumhoUSA.com shows a 9.2" section width on a 7" wheel for the 225.
Hankook shows a 9.6" section width for their RS2 245.

Unfortunately, my brother just got off the phone with Hankook directly and they're backordered on the 245/45/16 for a couple months, so i'm lookin' at moving to MXes for this set. I love MXes on my Miata, I was just hoping to stay with a 245 rear if I moved brands.

Has anyone gone from the RS2 to an MX or vice versa? I'd like to get a qualified A/B review as opposed to the "well omgzors I can corner like 40mph faster on these!!!!1!!!11!!!" review.

[Edit: deleted a couple lines where I just answered my first question re section width by reading the sticky for the 3rd time. Heh.]
