Thumbs up Offset Question

Hi I am new to the whole S2000 scene/honda scene in general. I used to own several VWs and the offsets are totalllyyy different. I have been doing some research on what offsets work and which dont. I am looking for more of a low offset / aggressive look. I do not track my car at all, its a daily driver.

I have been eyeballing this set of BBS LMs but I dont think the offsets / widths will work.
17x9+35 17x10+50 5x114.3 I am pretty sure the front offsets are too low.

I have also been looking at a set of BBS RSs.
These for example are 17x8+45 17x9+53, but I would most likely refinish them and buy bigger lips that would make the final widths 17x9+45, and 17x9.5/10 +53.

Any opinions would help, I am going to be buying wheels first, then coils because I will refinish either set of wheels with a custom color.

LMs will work but require fender pulling and more neg camber. Not a big fan of RSs. Must be PITA to clean. What do you mean by "buying bigger lips"...?

They are 3 piece wheels, and you can source different sizes of lips ranging from .5" to 3". You can also find 4" lips but they are a PITA to find. on the 17x9 I believe the lips are 1.5" wide, and I would buy lips that are 2.5" or 3" and make them 17x10/10.5. Put the 1.5" lips on the 17x8s which are only 1" and make them 17x8.5. Or buy 2" lips and make them 17x9.

Would it require pulling or just a roll with a fender roller? I dont mind stretched tires. I already planned on running -2 or -3 up front and -3 or -4 rear as far as camber goes.

I believe pulling is necessary for 9 width. +35 is pretty low. On stock fender, you'll need pulling and perhaps at least -3.5 camber. Probably some expert can confirm.

But seriously, it's really doable and I've seen many who've done it.

How much would it cost to get fenders pulled at a body shop? Can it be DIY without paint damage or what? And would it require front and rear fender pulling.

Just make sure you don't buy from RB and end up with some cracked wheels with a poor weld job =(

Not to mention warped wheels that they'll hang up on you for if you try calling about it..

I'm running 17x9 +35 with 255 RE01Rs on all four, front fenders need to be flared and anything can be DIYed (check sig ) but not without repaint.

17x10+50 will work in the rear, in fact the outside lip will sit 2mm further into the body compared to 17x9 +35. Check my fender thread, I have pictures of all the necessary cuts/mods and alignment specs needed to make rear fit.

PM me if you need any more details.
