Offset and Handling questions
I've done my searches and it appears that the wheels I'm looking at will fit without rubbing. I'm looking at Rota Boosts
17x7.5 45mm w 215/45
17x8.0 48mm w 245/40
My concern on my AP1 is that I'm going to noticeably upset the handling. I say this because it will be changing the track of the car both front and rear. I plan on using these as street wheels/tires and my stocks for autox/track. I still want to keep the same handling characteristics.
Second question - more of a clarification - stagger is all about tire width and not rim width, correct? In other words, the 1/2" width difference front and rear is not important as long as the tire stagger is as noted.
I guess I'm really looking for someone who has experience with this setup at the limit to describe what effects, if any, this will have to stock handling.
