Default Offset is 1mm less than the minimum requirement

Hey guys i found a set of used volks that I want to get however after reading through the wheel and tire guide i found that the offset of the front wheels that i want to get are 1mm less than the min requirement.

the wheels are 18x7.5 +42 in the front and 18x8.5 +45 in the rear

according to the guide, when running a 7.5 inch wide rim with a 205 tire the minimum offset should be +43.

My question is would experience rubbing if i run the setup with the 205 in the front with a +42 offset? If there are any issues would rolling the fenders rectify the problems?

You should be fine with some rolling of the fenders. You may even be able to run 215's up front too. I'm not too sure, but the camber may have to be done as well.

You can always run a little more negative camber and narrower tires.

Wow thanks for the quick reply guys!

A few more questions occured to me though.

Speedxracer are you running on rolled fenders or more negative camber?

Also, I have spoon progressive springs but other than that my suspension is totally stock. Would I need invest in a camber kit in order to increase my negative camber?

I'm totally new to this as well, but I was wondering if it is even possible to get a tire for an 18inch rim in the 205 size or less?

I believe the S has camber can be adjusted, no camber kit needed.
