If you're on 225,with anything less than SO2,you got the wrong size, should be 245;read the FAQs.
One more thing;don't call "asshat",people who are trying to help you, because one day,you will need advices, from those "asshats",and you won't get any.!!!
And turn off your CAPS.!!!
yes, i know this. the car came with crappy federal all season tires on it when i bought it. and no, my clutch is not slipping. when i am at the strip or when i launch the car above 5500rpms, it will burn first, then if i powershift into second it burns them again, and it chirps in third. so i am incorrect in saying that it burns the first three gears. i look for some good and sticky 245's.

I run bfgoodrich geforce sport ta 215 55 up front and 255 50 in rear on stock ap 1 wheels and they do great, are as sticky as drag radials and dont roll in the corners, I had bumped my slalom speed by 4 mph with these alone, just air up the tires (35psi) when hitting the turns and run 28 psi in rear with drag racing

I'm the asshat? Who's the one that can't even read the first sticky on the page? Who's the one that kept asking the same question after it had already been answered? Then you start calling me names? Very mature.

I almost laughed when you said you were on Federal All-Season tires. CONGRATULATIONS! You've just classifed yourself with the ricer Civics that think they're burning through 1st, 2nd and chirping 3rd from their ebay intake and motec exhaust system....while sitting on 185/50/14 pepboys all-seasons. Going wider is not going to help you--even if you go 245+ on crappy tires, you'll still have trouble with traction.

Do yourself a favor and get some proper summer tires (i.e. S02, S03, PS2, etc) in 225's or 245's and try to burn through the same gears. But I'm guessing you're going to take the other guy's advice and go with the 255/50's. Go ahead and try those. But don't come back and say, "HELP! My speedo's off and my car feels slower."
THANKS FOR THE UCKING WORTHLESS REPLY.

1. I BOUGHT THE CAR WITH THE FEDERAL'S ON IT.

2. I AM NOT A RICER FOR HAVING CRAPPY TIRES.

3.) YOU ARE A ASS, AND YOUR LAST POST VALIDATES THAT VERY WELL.

4. LAST TIME A CHECKED SPOON N1 EXHAUST HADN'T FALLEN INTO THE "EBAY" EXHAUST STEREOTYPE

5.I ACTUALLY APPRECIATED THE LAST SENTENCE OF YOUR REPLY, THE ONLY USEFUL THING YOU'VE SAID.

I AM SORRY I DID NOT READ THE STICKY, THAT IS MY FAULT AND I APOLOGIZE.

1. So if your car came with neon ground efx and chrome wipers, would you have kept those, as well? Besides, having Federals on there is not why I was laughing.

2. Never said you were a ricer for having crappy tires. (Reading comp???) Only that you complained about traction, but I guess didn't realize that your tires were 90% of the problem. (not the width, but material)

3. If you think I'm being hard on you, then you've really led a sheltered life. It's not all sunshine and belly-kisses in the real world.

4. Never said anything about an ebay exhaust.

5. If you read any of my posts, especially the first, I really tried to be helpful. You were the one who came off all defensive and started calling people names. With that attitude, you probably won't get too much help in the future.

You've been here for a while now. There really is no excuse for you. If you were a noobie, then it's understandable, but seems like you need to read a little more than you post.

I'm done with this thread. Good luck with your tires.
