OE S02 Discontinued?
I bought a MY02 and the agreement was that the dealer would put on new OE S02 tires. They now said the it's designated in the Honda parts computer as "Discontinued". They recommend putting on S03 instead. So, I requested them to put on the following sizes:
Front 205/55/ R16
Rear 245/45/ R16
That's correct, right?
In any case, if you need OE S02s, you better stock up on spares.

Yes, those are the correct sizes.
I'm not sure about the S-02s being discontinued but I'll move this thread over to the wheel/tire forum where I'm sure you'll get an answer.

The OEM S02 is not discontinued. They were on backorder for awhile but not discontinued.
I just ordered two rears from Jim last Friday and received them in the mail yesterday.

You know I thought for some reason that they would have come in a box but they just came heavily taped up together with the packing label taped right in to the grooves. They looked good and not "tossed around" so to speak. It does make them more vulnerable to punctures I suppose but with Bridgestone's 30 day "test drive" warranty and Jim's reputation on the board I figured all was ok. Not to mention the $30 per tire I saved from not buying them from the local Honda dealership.
It's amazing though putting them up next to the tires that are on there now. I almost thought they were too big at first just looking at them before I realized I had just worn down my rear's tremendously since buying the car a year and a half ago. I can't wait to get the new shoes on there.
