Noobie Question, Appreciate help
there's two sets of rims I am currently eyeing, but just wanted to see which tires would work best;
I do plan on rolling my fenders if needed, tirming, and/or camber adjustments.
First set are 18x8 +40 offsets with Aluminum hub rings
Second set are 17x8 fronts and 17x9 rears both +43 offsets
Fronts
+48 to +52 offset: 215 tires, 7.0" - 8.0" wide wheel
+53 to +57 offset: 225 tires, 7.0" - 8.0" wide wheel
Rears
+50 to +54 offset: 255 tires, 8.0" - 9.5" wide wheel
Just a bit confused, would be great if someone could give me some pointers and/or advice
Confused on if the rims won't be good, since the offsets aren't the recommended ones, but then again I know people run different offsets on their wheels
Just want to know what size tires would be ideal for both sets of rims.
Appreciate your help, and if your here to bash, at least help after the flames.
Thank youuus!

The key to that guide is to know that if you go lower on the offsets, you may need to roll or pull your fenders to avoid the tires rubbing. I would say the second set would be more ideal than the first. If you run stock size tires (215/45/17 and 245/40/17) you should barely need to do any fender work, especially if you are maxing the negative camber. +43 isn't too bad...once you start going lower than the 50s you will begin having issues...lower than 40 and you definitely need fender work. What wheels are they?

go for the 17x8 and 17x9 set up, +43 offset is not as bad actually. I just installed mine 17x8.5 +40 and 17x9 +40 .
With proper camber adjustment and fender rolling / bumper tab relocation. you should fit without any rubbing problem.
i am currently running wider tires 235/40/17 front and 255/40/17 rear. still fit perfect nice and clean. Just my 2 cents.
my car just for example.

So I plan on purchasing the Second set are 17x8 fronts and 17x9 rears both +43 offsets.
Dunlop Direzza DZ101
My front tire set up is going to be 225 / 45 / 17
Rears 245 / 40 / 17
And rolling both fenders
Does that sound alright? Or any adjustment that i should do?

I happen to have the exact same sizes and offsets as the second set you're thinking of going with, so i'll chime in.
I'm currently running a 225/45/17 front tire and a 245/40/17 rear tire and with a simple roll/rear bumper tab relocation it fits just fine. Currently running -2.5 degrees of camber in the rear. Been running the same set up for about 2 years now with no issues. Here's a pic of it so you get an idea. Granted, the lower you go, the more difficult it is going to be to make work. I have about a finger and change gap between the tire and fender.
I have a few pics buried in my cell phone if you need a few more pics close up in relation to the fenders to get a better idea of how they look. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions.
